สำหรับ RoHS อ้างอิงตาม EU RoHS (Recast) Directive 2011/65/EU

กฎระเบียบ RoHS จำกัดปริมาณการใช้สารเคมีอันตรายในเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าและอุปกรณ์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ตามระดับความเข้มข้นของแต่ละสาร ซึ่งสารเคมีตามกฎระเบียบ ได้แก่

• Lead
• Mercury
• Cadmium
• Hexavalent chromium
• Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
• Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)

โดยกำหนดรายการสินค้า ดังต่อไปนี้

• Large household appliances
• Small household appliances
• IT and telecommunications equipment
• Consumer equipment
• Lighting equipment
• Electrical and electronic tools (except large-scale stationary industrial tools)
• Toys, leisure and sports equipment

ทั้งนี้ รายการสินค้าลำดับที่ (1) – (7) มีผลบังคับใช้แล้ว ตั้งแต่วันที่ 21 กรกฎาคม 2011 ที่ผ่านมา

• Medical devices:

(8.1)  วันที่บังคับใช้ 22 July 2014 – “General medical device”

(8.2)  วันที่บังคับใช้ 22 July 2016 – “In Vitro medical devices” (but not “active implantable medical devices”)

(9)    Monitoring and control instruments

(9.1)  วันที่บังคับใช้ 22 July 2014 – “Monitoring & control instruments”

(9.2)  วันที่บังคับใช้ 22 July 2017 – “Industrial monitoring and control instruments”

(10)  Automatic dispensers (e.g. vending machines): มีผลบังคับใช้แล้ว ตั้งแต่วันที่ 21 กรกฎาคม 2011 ที่ผ่านมา

(11)  Other EEE not covered by any of the categories above: จะมีผลบังคับใช้ในวันที่ 22 กรกฎาคม 2019
